Unsurprisingly, New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is headed to the All-Star Game for the fifth time in seven years. Although Alonso is familiar with the All-Star process, this year’s trip to Atlanta will be slightly different. Alonso confirmed that he turned down an opportunity to participate in his sixth Home Run Derby.
