WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The fatal 2019 arrest of unarmed Black motorist Ronald Greene and its aftermath demonstrated serious failures at Louisiana State Police like use of excessive force and breakdowns in accountability, the U.S. Justice Department said in a report released on Friday.
Ronald Greene's Louisiana police killing shook the nation. None of the officers got jail time.
Five officers involved in Greene's death were initially charged. Two received misdemeanor convictions. None received jail time.
