Four illnesses are filling Minnesota hospitals, and health leaders are warning you that Minnesota is dealing with a "quad-demic."

Influenza A, COVID-19 and norovirus (stomach flu) are on the rise, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. But there's a fourth "bug" the public should be aware of: respiratory syncytial virus. RSV causes cold-like symptoms and affects the breathing passages and lungs.

As of Dec. 28, Michigan’s flu shot uptake -- less than 2.5 million doses -- sat far below its goal of 4 million doses administered. The state is behind where it was this time each of the last five years.
