The nondissemination order in the University of Idaho murder case was lifted by Judge Steven Hippler on Thursday, but all documents in the case that have been sealed will remain sealed for now.

On Thursday morning, 4th District Judge Steven Hippler agreed that lifting the Kohberger gag order would protect First Amendment rights of the public and press.

The rights of the public to information in this case is paramount — given the fact that a plea has been entered in this case,” the presiding judge said.
