EXCLUSIVE: In a deal that will bring James Wan back in touch with the mega horror IP he created, we hear from several sources that Blumhouse is acquiring the perspective rights to Twisted Pictures’ portion of the Saw franchise.

Blumhouse is in talks to acquire the rights to Twisted Pictures' portion of the "Saw" horror film franchise, according to media reports. Lionsgate owns 50% of the franchise and will continue to be involved as a partner.

If a deal makes, then James Wan, who directed the first movie and launched the horror franchise with Leigh Whannel, would get an ownership stake in his creation.
