Audio has been released of the moment the captain of a United Airlines Boeing 787 jet was forced to declare an emergency following the loss of an engine on takeoff from Washington Dulles Airport.

A United Airlines flight, en route to Munich from Washington Dulles, made an emergency landing after a left engine failure.
