One year after Xiaomi Automobile said it was working on an SUV called the YU7, the company is finally set to launch the new model in China.

The Xiaomi YU7's “Dual-Zone Surround Luxury Cabin” combines premium comfort with next-gen technology. At the center of its tech-forward interior is a 1.1-meter HyperVision Panoramic Display, featuring triple Mini LED panels with 108 PPD resolution and 1,200 nits brightness.

Xiaomi held a major launch event in China to unveil the Xiaomi 15s Pro and Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra powered by its in-house Xring O1 chipset. The same event also saw the arrival of a couple of other products,

The EV measures 4,999 x 1,996 x 1,600mm in terms of dimensions, has a curb weight of 2,405kg and a 3,000mm wheelbase. Xiaomi YU7 is claimed to have successfully passed over 50 passive safety development tests and all crash standards under C-NCAP and C-IASI protocols.

Xiaomi says the YU7 will come in three versions (Standard, Pro and Max), which can offer up to 519 miles of range on a single charge or up to 680bhp in the most potent versions – the 0-62mph sprint takes just 3.2 seconds in Max models.

Now, Xiaomi are pushing in a similar direction. The recently unveiled Xiaomi 15S Pro is an Android phone which makes use of the brand's first in-house SoC. That's dubbed the XRING O1, and is built on a 3nm architecture.
