After making an unprecedented amount of moves at the trade deadline the Minnesota Twins needed to make a bunch of moves to fill out the roster.

After unloading nearly half of their major league roster approaching the MLB trade deadline, the Minnesota Twins made eight roster additions Friday. The Twins recalled six players from Triple-A St. Paul and purchased the contract of two other players to fill out the major league club in advance of a series opener Friday on the road against the Cleveland Guardians.

All told, the Twins made nine deals this week, sending out 10 major-league players, which represented nearly 40% of their roster. Among them, star shortstop Carlos Correa waived his no-trade clause to return to the Houston Astros in the team’s most shocking move at the deadline.
