Attorney General Pam Bondi has been threatened with jail time if she doesn’t cough up the full Epstein Files by Friday’s deadline. Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna made the pointed threat on Thursday evening in an X video ahead of the 11:59 PM deadline.
As a lawyer for a conservative think tank, Ms. Bondi, now the attorney general, filed a Supreme Court brief last year saying service members who followed such orders were committing crimes.
Bondi then turned to attacking the left, slamming "progressive left idiots" in the Democratic Party and media, labeling them "disgusting and despicable" for taking issue with Guard deployments. She also referred to federal agents as "heroes" and insisted Trump, 79, would send "500 more National Guard troops."
The Epstein Files Transparency Act required Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the files within 30 days of its signing. It has been 10 months since Bondi claimed the files were on her desk for review in a Fox News interview, before walking it back, but her deputy said the department would meet Friday’s deadline.
Several members of Congress criticized the department’s No. 2, Todd Blanche, after he said more documents would be coming weeks late.
