China has cut interest rates and bank reserve requirements as part of a barrage of measures meant to counter the blow to its economy from U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade war

Shares have advanced in Asia after the U.S. and China said they are planning trade talks in Switzerland later this week.

China reduced its policy rate and lowered the amount of cash lenders must keep in reserve, as Beijing ramps up efforts to help an economy caught in a second trade war with the US.
