The New York Mets are reportedly a legitimate contender to poach the New York Yankees’ projected $168 million slugger in a potential move.

Daniel Bellinger and the New York Giants square off against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9 on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Bellinger (did not participate in practice, neck) is listed on the injury report this week. He does not currently have a game status listed.

Bellinger (neck) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants ' official site reports.

Giuseppe Maneiro, a 5-year-old from Lyndhurst, N.J., who is battling leukemia, has inspired the New York Giants, most notably TE Daniel Bellinger.

Despite that, The Athletic’s Chris Kirschner urged the Yankees to sign Tucker over Bellinger, citing the simple fact that he’s a better baseball player, and with the Yankees wanting as much talent as possible, there’s a price to pay for that.
