A powerline fell down Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, setting multiple vehicles on fire.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - A downed power line set a van on fire in a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood, and a neighbor said a lightning strike may have sparked the danger.

A 63-year-old Texas man caught driving from Florida Keys to Cuba in a rental boat earlier this week has been charged with leasing with the intent to defraud.

The Hall County Fire Department said firefighters heard and saw the explosion from a nearby boat.

About seven family members, including a father and his three sons, who planned to go tubing on the Fourth of July were all injured when their boat exploded.
