With a nervy opening-round win over the Dominican Republic in the bank, defending Gold Cup champions Mexico can confirm their place in the knockout stage as they meet debutants Suriname in Dallas on Wednesday.

As Costa Rica take on the mission to conquer their first Concacaf Gold Cup, many fans have been left to wonder: where is Joel Campbell?

The Gold Cup runs June 14 to July 6. It opens with the group stage and we’ll be tracking each group until eight teams qualify for the knockout stage.

AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host four matches across two nights starting next week. The big picture: World Cup matches will be held in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. The Gold Cup matches will be in some of the same cities, including here, Houston, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay area and Vancouver, Canada.
