Everett Police arrested a man for the stabbing of a 13-year-old student near North Middle School. The community tip led to his non-confrontational arrest and he faces first-degree assault charges.

Police in Everett have arrested a 21-year-old man in the stabbing of a teenage boy that happened earlier this month.Investigators picked up Andrew Freeman, who has a long criminal history, on Wednesday afternoon.

13-year-old Kessai Kios says he feels safe after police arrested 21-year-old Andrew Freeman, who’s accused of stabbing the teen in an unprovoked attack in Everett on January 16th. “I realized that he was like approaching me, but I didn’t know if he was gonna like punch me or stab me or anything like that,” said Kios.

Andrew Freeman, the suspect in the January 16 stabbing of a 13-year-old near the 2500 block of Broadway, was taken into custody by Everett Police Wednesday, according to a police statement.
