While Charles Leclerc was left joyful after securing pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton called himself “useless” in the broadcast media pen, shouldering the blame for his Q2 exit.

Lewis Hamilton was appalled at his own F1 qualifying performance in Hungary, describing his performance as “useless.” The 40-year-old, who is yet to register a podium this season with Ferrari, could only qualify a disappointing 13th on the grid for Sunday’s race.

What also probably stunned the living legend was an elimination at the Hungaroring, a track where Hamilton has secured a record nine pole positions. That includes a surprise pole for the 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix, the last time he qualified up front for a grand prix.
