As part of its continued efforts to own the libs, or get rid of anything President Trump does not like or understand, the General Services Administration is gearing up to remove electric chargers from all federal properties nationwide.

The Trump administration is shutting down all federal government buildings' EV chargers and expected to sell off the GSA's newly bought EVs.

Chargers funded through the program were due to be just a small share of those opening this year. The longer-term effects aren’t yet clear.

The agency in charge of managing buildings owned by the federal government has begun the process of taking hundreds of EV charging stations out of service.

The GSA is also expected to offload its current stock of EVs, though it's unknown if the vehicles will be sold or put into storage. The agency will reportedly begin instructing employees to remove the chargers—which are used for both federally owned EVs and employees' personal vehicles—as early as next week.

The GSA’s website says the Federal Center has 22 “fully functional” charging stations at 11 locations on the campus in Denver’s western suburbs. The email, sent from a GSA official, says some will be taken offline within the next week and others will be shut down once contracts are canceled.

Electric vehicles are “not mission critical,” said the Trump administration, which has ordered all EV chargers located at federal buildings to be shut down nationwide and newly purchased EVs to be offloaded.
