The Trump administration’s handling of the so-called Epstein files has spurred a growing backlash from within the president’s own MAGA base.

Pam Bondi took office as Florida's first female attorney general in 2011. Epstein had gotten out of the Palm Beach County Jail two years earlier.

Donald Trump's plan to publicize court documents in the Jeffrey Epstein case is actually a calculated "strategy" to avoid the scandal, and Pam Bondi is "aiding and abetting" him, according to a former federal prosecutor.

Trump said he had personally warned the Journal’s owner, Rupert Murdoch, and its editor in chief, Emma Tucker, that the letter was “fake,” calling the story “false, malicious, and defamatory.”
