For some, competing on this NCAA stage is not new. UConn has advanced to the Final Four in 16 of the last 17 years and coach Geno Auriemma has led the Huskies to 24 total Final Fours in his career. So while the Huskies are the only No. 2 seed left in a field of No. 1 seeds, they bring a wealth of experience.

Madness continues Friday with the women’s Final Four. South Carolina faces Texas at 7 p.m. and UCLA meets Connecticut around 9:30 p.m.

Three of four teams in the women’s Final Four are No. 1 seeds. None of the four have lost more than three games this season.

The women's 2025 Final Four isn't quite as chalky as what the men have in store, but it's pretty close. Three of the four No. 1 seeds made it to this final weekend, with a No. 2 seed being the only outlier. And that should make for some incredible basketball theater over the next few days.
