Russia and Venezuela has condemned the United States for it seizure of a Venezuelan oil tanker this week, as tensions have soared between the U.S. and the South American nation in recent months.

President Donald ‌Trump's administration has ​seized an oil tanker ‍off the coast ​of ​Venezuela, ⁠two U.S. officials told Reuters on Tuesday.

The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a military operation, said that the seizure came after “deliberate planning” and that there was no resistance from the crew.
