We heard the sad news that Billy Steinberg has passed away. He was the American songwriter behind some of the most iconic pop hits, such as Cyndi Lauper’s "True Colors" and "I’ll Stand By You" by The Pretenders. These songs hold a special place in our Night of the Proms history, as both Cyndi Lauper (2004) and Chrissie Hynde (2000) performed them on our stage.
