Today we have a video of our favourite part of bat rescue and rehabilitation, the release! This is Hazel, a sub adult black flying fox that was rescued from inappropriate fruit netting a few weeks ago. As Hazel was trying to feed on some oranges her wrist became tightly entangled in the netting. This kind of entanglement can easily cause serious injury but thankfully the homeowners spotted her quickly and called us straight away. Hazels wrist was very sore and swollen but she managed to avoid th
