Today FDNY honors FDNY Lt. and U.S Air Force Master Sgt Christopher Raguso with a plaque dedication ceremony at Engine 302 and Ladder 155 in Queens. Lt Raguso died on March 15, 2018, in an Air Force helicopter crash in Iraq. He was on military leave from the Department, serving his country in his sixth deployment. Lt. Today, FDNY Fire Marshals announced the arrest of Oscar Vidal which occurred on Monday, November 1, 2022. FDNY Fire Marshals arrested Vidal, for intentionally setting fire to an outdoor dining structure which extended to two vehicles and a commercial food establishment at 84-19 Roosevelt Avenue in Queens on October 18, 2022. Vidal has been charged with charged with 4 Counts of Arson 3, Criminal Mischief 2, Criminal Mischief 3, Criminal Mischief intent to damage property, and Reckless Endangermen

Today, Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh, FDNY members, family, and friends attended a walkout ceremony for Chief of EMS Operations Lillian Bonsignore, who is retiring today after 31 years with the Department.
