Armored Insectivore? This bronzed #Desmatosuchus, the “link crocodile,” is on display at the Mesalands Dinosaur Museum in Tucumcari, New Mexico. It is a kind of #aetosaur, “eagle lizard,” which were armored herbivores prevalent in the Chinle Formation of Arizona in the Late Triassic, from roughly 230 mya to 210 mya or so, at which point they go extinct :-(.
