Save this post for next spring: If you want to grow your dahlia collection, it is as easy as pinching back your dahlias once they get three pairs of leaves. You can take the cuttings and root them to grow even more dahlias. Pinch your dahlias… All dahlias grow at different rates and if you planted your tubers in May they might be ready for pinching! Pinching basically gives you double the stems and double the flowers! You only need to pinch each stem ONCE! And from each tuber you ideally only want 3-5 main stems coming from each tuber. Any more than that and I remove them!
